Kathy Benedict, M.S., CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist

Kathy received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Communication Science from University of California, Santa Barbara and her Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Boston University.  For nearly 4 decades, she has worked as a speech-language pathologist in hospitals, private clinics, school districts, and early intervention programs with clients of all ages, providing services in both English and Spanish.  While working for the San Luis Coastal Unified School District she co-wrote the 2015 SELPA Speech/Language Handbook, was nominated for Support Person of the Year in 2007 and 2016, and she served as the bilingual assessor and program developer for the school district.  Kathy has provided in-services to teachers and parents throughout the county.  She is passionate about supporting parents and their children in improving communication, social thinking, and executive functioning abilities. In her spare time, Kathy enjoys traveling, hiking, paddle-boarding, dancing, entertaining, and hanging out with her husband, three adult children, and hilarious grandson.
