Amy graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education, from Simpson University.  Following her collegiate work, she served for four years as a Kindergarten teacher and later served for two years as a Child & Family Specialist for an early intervention program in Stockton, CA.  Upon relocating to the central coast of California, she continued her work serving as an early intervention specialist.  Now with more than a decade of field experience, Amy is particularly adept in forming strong, positive bonds with the children and families she serves.  She excels in incorporating creative intervention tools and activities to help establish this rapport and professional connection.  Her professional interests include the evidence-based practice of Routines-Based Intervention (RBI) in early intervention, as well as parent-child attachment theory.  In her free time, she enjoys painting, sewing, hiking, writing, and bonding with her family.
